About SSMTA
Our purpose is to further the art of music and promote the growth and professional development of our members. If you share this goal and would like to network with other music teachers, South Suburban Music Teachers Association is for you!
South Suburban Music Teachers Association (SSMTA) is a local chapter affiliated with the Illinois State Music Teachers Association (ISMTA) and the Music Teachers National Association (MTNA), which was founded in 1876.

Monthly meetings and educational presentations take place at Oak Glen United Reformed Church, 2244 Indiana Avenue, in Lansing, Illinois. The monthly business meeting begins at 9:45 am, followed by an educational presentation beginning at 10:30 am. We invite you to attend one of our monthly meetings.
